Why Mamata Benerji opposed NDA's President contestant Ramnath Kovind? Lets know about Ramnath Kovind

There was few names circulated around political scenario of India for the contestant of President of India from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.  Now BJP sets its end and announced their contestant for the position of President of India (Rastra Pathi) is none other than Sri Ramnath Kovind and given surprise to opposition parties with this announcement.  Already West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerji (Trunamul Congress Party) opposed the contestant of BJP as this is a surprise news that, I never expected the name Ramnath Kovind as contestant of President of India, which is a great democracy country among the world it should be a legendry, greatest person required for that role to make crucial decisions.  Although, the other opposition parties like Congres, CPI, CPM and other parties are also expressing oppose with negative comments as the President of India should not be selected under the criteria of caste or religion basis as BJP trying to cash that the candidate Ramnath Kovind belongs to Dalith (SC) leader.  Moreover Communist parties expressing their view that, even though Ramnath Kovind belongs to Dalith but also he is developed from strong background of RSS (Rastriya Swayam Sevaksang), that’s why we are opposing the candidate.

Whatever it may be, let’s know little bit about Ramnath Kovind for why choosen BJP for their contestant of President of India.  The ruling party BJP authorities explained about why they selected Ramnath Kovind as contestant to President of India, they expressed that, Ramnath Kovind is a democratic analyst, basically he is a Advocate, he undertaken and argued many cases of poor people and given justice without fee, he worked as key role in many committees formed by Government of India, he stands and protected the rights of poor public, SC/STs, and presently he is in the position of Governor of Bihar, that’s why we (BJP) selected him to the position of honorable President of India, we know that India is a very big democratic country among the world and to seat a great position the person should have the experience of statutory bodies, democracy, political analysis and knowledge about poor public’s problems and rights and work experience in a key role in many governing bodies to solve the issues.

Mr. Ramnath Kovind, who have been fighting for the rights of Dalith, Aadivasi, Minorities.  He fought against some guidelines, which were against the SC/ST employees during the year 1997 and then he succeeded to remove such guidelines, which were against the SC/ST employees in the government of BJP which Atal Bihari Vajapai seated as PM.  He undertaken court cases which related to the poor people without fee and given them justice to them.  Ramnath Kovind worked in many key statutory roles like he worked as Board Member in a Board of Management in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Luknow, he also worked as Board Governance Member in IIM, Kolkata, He also acted as representator of India and spoke in UNESCO’s conference during 2002 year.  He analyzed about the political situations and people lively hood in many countries like Singapore, Jarmany, France, UK, USA, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan while his tour as Member of Parliament (MP).

The another reason to pick Mr. Ramnath Kovind as the contestant of President of India (Rastra Pathi) position, he also worked many key roles in BJP from the establishment of BJP.  He had a track record as a clean and non corrupted politician, he always concentrated on poor people’s rights and problems and solved as he capable.  He had a huge political knowledge and he elected as Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for two times.  He worked as Chairman in many statutory committees which formed on to solve SC/ST welfare, Social Welfare, Petrolium, Home Affairs, etc.

In this task, the BJP decided to smash the comments of their opposition parties who always made criticize as “BJP related to higher caste people owned party only” with selecting a President of India contestant with the candidate like Ramnath Kovind who belongs to SC and moreover desirable for the position of President of India.
