Union Cabinet, Education Minister of India Mr. Prakash Javadekar announced good news to
Central and State Government Teaching Staff to hike their pay under the 7th
Central Pay Commission (CPC).Approximately 7.58 lakhs of Teaching Staff, who are working under State
and Central Universities and Colleges approved their pay hike by the Union
Cabinet, Government of India.
The Union Cabinet, Education Minister Prakash Javadekar
told that, the pay hike has been approved by the Cabinet and its ranging from 22
to 28%, which based on service seniority of the Teaching Staff member.
The pay hike is approved on the recommendations of 7th
Central Pay Commission (CPC) and the enhanced salaries will be effected from 1st
January, 2016.The benefits of pay hike
to the Teaching staff working under 43 Central Universities, 329 State
Universities and 12,912 No.of Government and Private aided Colleges affiliated
to State Universities.This benefits of
pay hike also considered to the central funded technical institutions, which
are 119 numbers like IITs Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National
Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
and Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
Minister Prakash Javadekar spoke that, “We need to fulfill
the sufficient salary requirements of Teaching Staff such as hike their
salaries to retain them” during interaction with media after the meeting of
Union Cabinet, which chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.Mr. Javadekar told that the benefits of pay
hike will get by Teaching Staff, who are working under Central Government
Institutions and Universities immediately.But, the Teaching Staff, who are working under Higher Education
Institutions with the administration control of State Governments may get these
benefits with lately some time.
The enhanced revised pay scales will be get effect to the State
Government funded Institutions after adoption of this G.O. by their respective State
Government only.
